Basil Read Developments is pleased to welcome Paramount Trailers to its new home at Klipriver Business Park, South of Johannesburg. Paramount has bought the first four stands at the warehousing, logistics and distribution industrial estate.
Klipriver is a prime example of how Basil Read Developments has unlocked Johannesburg’s Southern Industrial node that connects Johannesburg, Ekurheleni and the Vaal area. It is not hard to see why this park has been identified as a major growth node in Gauteng. Not only is the business park strategically positioned on the R59 and R550 interchange, but there is a railway line and station adjacent to the development, running parallel to the R59—from Germiston through Meyerton to Vereeniging. Furthermore, Klipriver has easy access to the all-important N1 & N3 highways.
One of the first clients to spot the potential of the Klipriver Business Park was Paramount Trailers, a leading manufacturer and refurbisher of commercial trailers both here and abroad. In fact, its key markets include South Africa and the entire SADC region. The acquisition of four prime stands at the business park and the construction of a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility which is expected to cost in excess of R100mil is in line with the company’s strategy to grow the business further and take advantage of opportunities in the Sub Saharan transport market.
