Paramount Trailers find a new home at Klipriver

Basil Read Developments is pleased to welcome Paramount Trailers to its new home at Klipriver Business Park, South of Johannesburg. Paramount has bought the first four stands at the warehousing, logistics and distribution industrial estate.

Klipriver is a prime example of how Basil Read Developments has unlocked Johannesburg’s Southern Industrial node that connects Johannesburg, Ekurheleni and the Vaal area. It is not hard to see why this park has been identified as a major growth node in Gauteng. Not only is the business park strategically positioned on the R59 and R550 interchange, but there is a railway line and station adjacent to the development, running parallel to the R59—from Germiston through Meyerton to Vereeniging.  Furthermore, Klipriver has easy access to the all-important N1 & N3 highways.
One of the first clients to spot the potential of the Klipriver Business Park was Paramount Trailers, a leading manufacturer and refurbisher of commercial trailers both here and abroad. In fact, its key markets include South Africa and the entire SADC region.  The acquisition of four prime stands at the business park and the construction of a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility which is expected to cost in excess of R100mil is in line with the company’s strategy to grow the business further and take advantage of opportunities in the Sub Saharan transport market.

Established in 1997, Paramount Trailers has built a long-standing track-record in the industry for its quality products and great customer service.  It currently operates six production facilities, based around Johannesburg, with over 100 highly trained staff, committed to supplying only the best and most reliable trailers.  The company designs and manufacturers a diverse range of trailers, customised to the customers’ and logistical requirements. “We are confident and excited that this new business venture will take the company into a new and professional era”, shares Warren Marques, Managing Director of Paramount Trailers.

Once again, Basil Read Developments would like wish Fernando and Warren Marques of Paramount Trailers a long and happy association with the Klipriver Business Park and we are confident that this new beginning will take their brand from strength to strength.
Paramount Trailers have purchased stands 65, 66, 80 & 81 at Klipriver Business Park, covering a total land size of 53,526m³
